It is designed to hold Prince George's County accountable for billions in taxpayer resources through independent oversight and rigorous investigation.
Independent Means Independent
Independence isn't a title. It has to be built into the Charter. We believe that oversight must be free from political interference to be effective. A truly independent Office of Inspector General is the only way to ensure that Prince George's County government is held accountable to the people it serves.
